Our facility is equipped with a Customs-approved IT system, known as an Anti-Smuggling Net (ASN). This system allows us to:
- Electronically record and track all goods entering the temporary storage facility (stock account records)
- Maintain electronic inventory control for non-Union goods while in storage
- Record all activities related to temporary storage, including arrival, outturn, discrepancies, examinations, sampling, movement within and between facilities, and other authorized activities.
- Electronically notify and provide receipts for goods removal after customs clearance
- Log the duration of goods in temporary storage electronically
- Transmit all Customs declarations for cargo in the storage area electronically within the required timeframes
- Generate hard copy clearance advice and unit releases using the system
- Utilise UK transit declarations through NCTS
